Food continues to be one of the most shared topics on social media, with no signs of stopping.  I began my career in food with an online blog back in 2007.

Since then we’ve grown an healthy community of over half a million food lovers across, facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest and most recently youtube and snapchat, sharing recipe ideas on a daily basis.

Over the course of 9 years, there have been recipes which continue to be extremely popular so in this weeks newsletter, I thought I would compile some of my favourites!

1. Martha’s One Pan Pasta
This is one of my latest videos and to say it’s been popular is a HUGE understatement. This one pot wonder sees both pasta and sauce all cooked in the one pan resulting in perfectly al dente spaghetti wrapped in a silky spinach and tomato sauce.

This is one of my latest videos and to say it’s been popular is a HUGE understatement. This one pot wonder sees both pasta and sauce all cooked in the one pan resulting in perfectly al dente spaghetti wrapped in a silky spinach and tomato sauce.

2. Homemade Pizza
If you have never made your own pizza there is literally no comparison to the ones you get from a takeaway or even from a box! By making your own dough and tomato sauce you are guaranteed a far superior pizza only to be topped if you get a real Italian to make it for you! Add your favourite toppings but in my opinion, you can’t beat a simple Margherita!

If I was to name one recipe that is ideal food therapy, it would be this rich tomato & Italian meatballs pasta. There is something extremely relaxing about rolling the meat into little balls and plopping them into a boiling, rich, tomato sauce. I love to serve the dish on a big platter with serving spoons, so that people can dig in at the table.

I can hardly call this a recipe, more an art of assembly! Everyone has their preferred fillings when it comes to toasted sandwiches but this is how I like to make mine! Keep it plain, add ham or mix your favourite cheeses. Gooey, crispy, cheesy goodness in a matter or minutes…Perfection!

Of the many different types of baking recipes from Sweden, the cinnamon bun is perhaps the most famous. It’s a sweet bread dough rolled up with a swirl of sweet buttery cinnamon throughout. Top with cream cheese icing or a sprinkle of pearl sugar.

A perfect make-ahead dessert, perfect for dinner parties. This is a particularly handy cheesecake as it’s no bake so all you have to do is leave it to set in the fridge. It’s also extra luxurious with the addition of white chocolate.

8. Chocolate Hazelnut Mud Pie
This dark chocolate cake is unique in that it doesn’t require flour to bind it and instead relies on ground almonds which makes it gluten free but also results in a rich and moist finish. With a glossy chocolate glaze and a topping of toasted hazelnuts this cake will be a true showstopper at any dinner party!
